5th QM Company celebrated its 37th Organization Day on Nov 7, 1954 with competitive events at Augsburg.
 
705th Ordnance Battalion

Company A, 705th Ord Bn is located at Augsburg and commanded by Capt Gerald N. Edgar.

The company has three "mobile" platoons that are detached to the Division's three infantry regiments:
1st Pltn colocated with 10th Inf Regt in Gablingen
2nd Pltn colocated with 2nd Inf Regt in Munich
3rd Pltn colocated with 11th Inf Regt at Sheridan Kaserne, Augsburg

The primary mission of Company A is furnish close support to the regimental combat teams of the 5th Inf Div. The company repairs everything from small fire arms to M-47 tanks.
