The church ruins of Hopfenohe, near Auerbach. Hopfenohe was one of 57 villages, hamlets and isolated farms that were evacuated by the German War Ministry in the late 1930s to provide more land for an expansion of the German training area at Grafenwöhr. Over 200 inhabitants of the village were forced to move.
