Schwaebisch Hall Army Airfield (Source: photo - Herman Furgeson; comments - Harris Spracher) What is listed as the motor pool was actually a couple of motor pools: the 180th Avn.Co. motor pool was on the far right in the pic; 223rd HHC Avn Bn also had their motor pool in there. Some of the space was also a shop for our POL folks, that was over on the far left in the pic. The big 180th hangar also housed the base bowling alley and, on the far end of that structure, the base gym.
