Airfield at Soldier's Field, 1965-67 (Source: David James) Former Märzfeld (March Field) (part of the Reichsparteitagsgelände) that served as a parade ground for the Wehrmacht was located at the southern end of the Grosse Strasse (= US Army airfield in the 1960s). The towers of the Märzfeld were destroyed around 1966. The photo shows some of the work going on to demolish the former structure.
