47th Medical Detachment (HA) (Photo submitted by Bill McKee) This picture was taken during Wintershield I. We were the aggressors as can be seen by the red triangle over the star on the cargo door. The full white tail fin was our trade mark. All of the other units had a white square with a red cross in the center. Later we added the number 47 to the center of the red cross. It was this way until I left in April on 1962.
