A detachment
of 759th MP Bn motorcycles and jeeps escort a convoy of
sixty trucks from the 595th
TT Company as
it moves along the Berlin corridor as part of the US Army's
efforts to restore the surface transportation system between
Berlin and the US Zone in Germany. This photo was taken
in July 1949, just two months after the Berlin Airlift formally
enden (12 May 1949).
