In May 1946, the 3rd Inf Regt was moved
to Berlin and on June 15, it took over the Berlin Military District
from the 78th Inf Div.
The 78th Inf Div was subsequently inactivated at Berlin on June 16
1946. The division's infantry regimets were also inactivated as follows:
 309th Inf Regt between
Apr 15-May 22, 1946, in Germany;
310th Inf Regt on
Jun 15, 1946, at Berlin;
311th Inf Regt on
May 22, 1946, in Germany. |
