In the photo, fixed send and receive antennas. Fly swatter antennas served as receiving antenna and yagi antennas were used for transmitting in the field, early on.. When we jumped, the antennas in the photo remained on the poles until we returned. On an alert, we had a very short time to get packed up and rolling, two or three hours. So, we used the basic yagi when in the field. Sometimes we had to use trial and error to get the correct antenna setup, mix and match if you will.
 
A gasoline powered 5KW generator. One was always on standby.
