7796th Signal Photo Company, Hanau (Source: Bill Doyle) General Dwight D. Eisenhower, first Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), greets men of the 2nd Armored Division at Camp Y-79 near Mannheim. Upon arrival at Bremerhaven, the 2nd Armd Division was transferred to troop trains and moved to Camp Y-79 for staging. From Y-79 the units would then move by truck to the various new stations.
