I like to touch base, so to speak, from time to time, letting folks know I am looking for those I served with in Austria from 1954-1955 and beyond in Mannheim, Germany (Taylor Barracks) until 1957. I was stationed in St. Johann, Austria in Fox Company 349th Infantry Regiment Second Battalion and later moved to intelligence in Battalion Headquarters. In preparation for our exit from Austria, in 1955 I was transferred to George Company 350th Infantry Regiment at Camp Roeder, Austria near Salzburg. I attended both the NCO Academy in Linz and also Intelligence school on Glimpfinger Strasse in Linz. Later I attended the Communications Chief Course and the Cryptographic courses at USAEUR Training Center in Ansbach, Germany. I've loyally monitored this site through the year hoping to contact some of my old friends. My pics are on the site and I invite all to view them. I arrived at Salzburg in June 1955. I was assigned to the Public Safety Office. I worked a a small Austrian concern near Camp Rum, Later I went to the airfield a Horshing. When the troops left Austria in October '55, I was one of the five officers selected to remain in country at the request of Austrian Chancellor Raab. We were reassigned to Heilelberg with duty assignment at the American Embassy Vienna. I departed Viena in June 1958. If anyone from the Public Safety Office reads this message, please contact me.

Great Job on the site. Served '52 to '54 with Heavy Mortar Company, 350th Infantry in Camp Roeder and graduated NCO Academy in Camp McCauley. Completed my tour as a forward observer for the 2nd Plt. Visited Austria about five years ago and could not get into the camp. I was tempted to find the hole in fence I used to frquent.
