Fourth Allied Tactical Air Force, 1968 (Source: Richard Tracy) A small supplemental sign at the front gate of Husterhoeh Kaserne, directing our temporary guests from 4th Allied Tactical Air Force (4ATAF) and United States Air Force, Europe (USAFE) to their destination. CENTAG (CENTral Army Group) also had a temporary headquarters set up in one of the barracks at the kaserne. Buildings behind the signs were occupied by AWSCOM (Advanced Weapons Support Command). The road -- with its German civilian homes -- is Pestalozzistrasse.
