3rd Supply & Transportation Battalion (Source: German postcard in Webmaster's collection) POL dump at Zell Hafen near Emery Barracks. The postcard is undated, but I am guessing this was taken in the 1960s. I have added what I think was the perimeter line (orange) of the dump. 5000-gal tankers are clearly visible in the right hand section near the three warehouses. Packaged POL products seemed to be stacked over in the left hand section which is close to the Main River. (Emery Barracks would be off the picture to the far right.) Arrows indicate access road and entrances to the POL yard. Would like to hear from anyone who has additional information on the POL yard and the 3rd S&T mission - email.
