2nd Bn, 56th Arty, 1966-68 (Source: Richard Tracy) The same picture as the earlier "overview" photo, but annotated to show a rough approximation of the 36-foot ("full-wave") wire antenna installation for the VHF radio van. The antenna mast on the left was actually outside the perimeter fence, fairly close to the PSP helipad (pierced steel planking helicopter landing pad)! After the 40-foot antenna was installed on the radar tower, and the radio van moved into the radar van's revetment, the mast was relocated -- inside the fence!!
