16th Air Operation Detachment (Source: J., 16th AOD/14th AATRIC/14th ATC) VFR & IFR vans at Bad Mergentheim (?), 1962. These vans had teletypes, landlines, hooks to 16th AOD's 46D (AN/GRC-46D) and 26D (AN/GRC-26D) radio huts,etc. Also, they has same radios as in aircraft for FM (ARC-44), VHF (ARC- 73), UHF (ARC-27) for aircraft communications. Poles in front of IFR Van were for UHF radio antennas for Air Force aircraft. Other antennas were also situated on the roof of the IFR Van.
