Snow woman in front of our "Flight Operations" Quonset hut.  Bamberg AAF was an official "entry/exit" point 
on the ADIZ (air defense identification zone).  Daily helicopter flights were made along the ADIZ and
would 'shadow' our Russian counter-parts on the other side of the border.
