The former 62nd Medical Battalion (WWII) was reactivated on 1 October 1956 in Germany.
On 8 October 1957, HHC, 62nd was reorganized and re-designated as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 62nd Medical Group in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. HHD was located on Hospital Kaserne in BK.
The group was a subordinate unit of the 7th Medical Brigade.
In June 1968, HHD 62nd Medical Group made a Unit PCS (Permanent Change of Station) move to Ft Lewis, Washington, as part of Operation REFORGER . |
