Bad Hersfeld MP Station, 1980s (Source: name withheld) MP’s conducting an actual processing of a SMLM vehicle crossing the inner-German border at Herleshausen. The German Government did not have jurisdiction over the Allied Forces until we modified our rights under the NATO SOFA Agreement. The Russians were not apart of that treaty and the US  Forces MP’s had to process Russian military entering and leaving West Germany at Herleshausen.
