The 18th MP Brigade was activated in Frankfurt on April 16 1985. The Brigade with two subordinate MP battalions has a strength of over 1,400 soldiers who are stationed in 9 military communities that stretch from Baumholder to the former inter-German border. |

ORGANIZATION (1990): |

MISSION:
(wartime) - to conduct military police operations in support of V Corps. These operations include battlefield circulation control; area security; prisoner of war operations; and law and order operations.
(peacetime) -
to conduct law enforcement and security operations throughout the V Corps area amd its military communities. These operations include protective services; traffic accident investigations; military police investigations; installation security and law and order missions.
